Casual Catering Assistant Role | Westmead

Great opportunities for an experienced catering assistants to join our team at Westmead facility.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide catering services to residents in a timely manner
  • Communicate with residents about their dietary needs
  • Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ individual dietary needs, including texture-modified meals and special diets.
  • Maintain best practices in health, hygiene, sustainability, and safety within the kitchen and service

A Day in the Life, with Uniting Aged Care

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services – whether in catering, cooking or kitchenhand roles
  • Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification (highly desirable)
  • Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable)
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for preparing quality, nutritious meals.
  • Previous experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.
  • You’re empathetic, adaptable, and resourceful, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Alignment with Uniting’s core values of compassion, respect, boldness, and creativity.
