Health Promotion Officer - Cancer Awareness - Kimberley Region

As the Health Promotion Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting Aboriginal clients and families throughout their cancer journey. Working closely with the Cancer Care Team, remote clinics and community partners, you will:
- Provide culturally appropriate support, advocacy and practical assistance
- Help clients understand their diagnosis and treatment options
- Support attendance at appointments and provide emotional and cultural support
- Work with health professionals to promote culturally safe cancer care
- Deliver community education on cancer prevention, screening and early detection
- Build strong relationships with remote Kimberley communities and contribute to service improvements

About You
To be successful, you will:
- Proven experience in health promotion or related fields
- Have experience working with Aboriginal people, families and communities
- Have a strong understanding of Kimberley culture and community networks
- Be an excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence and be willing to travel to remote communities
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a National Police Clearance
- Have full working rights in Australia
