Rostering Scheduler

Join our rostering team based onsite at Malvern on a casual basis! If you are looking for work/life balance and flexibility, we have you covered! The shift times we need coverage for are 4.30am-8.30am, 5am-9am and 2pm-11pm.

About the Role:
- Responsible for receiving unplanned leave calls and sourcing staff to fill unplanned leave shifts
- Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of relief staff across our twelve residential sites
- Maintain an up-to-date database of relief staff
- Optimising relief pool staff to ensure rosters are cost effective.
- Communicate roster updates, shift assignments, and other relevant information to relief staff and relevant manager.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of flexible rostering practices.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for covering scheduler shifts when other staff are on leave.
Essential Criteria:
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite including:

- Intermediate level Word
- Sound knowledge of Excel
- Previous shown experience with rostering and workforce management.
- Ability to show understanding and communicate effectively with older people.
- Ability to relate to a diverse group of people including residents, staff, visitors and relatives.
- Ability to work in a confidential manner.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to organise work and priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake a diverse set of tasks.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and strong problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong computer skills and systems oriented
- A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake a diverse set of tasks
- Available to work various shift times across a 7-day roster
