You will be working with one of Australia’s largest providers of Aboriginal health care, providing support to more than 10,000 people across East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.

As the Men's Health Remote Area Nurse you will be working in the Northern Territory where there are several clinics, spread across North-East Arnhem Land. Known for its rich Indigenous heritage, stunning natural beauty, surrounded by pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and abundant wildlife.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES

• Working in alignment with the Men’s Health Program in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality and evidence-based care
• Working as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and provides the highest standard of patient centred care for clients through the provision of comprehensive primary health care services
• Promoting and supporting Aboriginal Health Practitioners as the primary health carers within the community, delivering health promotion and education activities, and participating in acute care health programs
• Providing a high standard of emergency care as per the CARPA Standard Treatment and Clinical Procedures manual
• Participating in routine vaccination delivery to the community
• Participating in the 24-hour on call roster for acute and emergency responses.

To be eligible for the position, you must have the following:

• Current registration with AHPRA with no restrictions
• National Crime Check or willingness to obtain
• Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
• Current Remote Emergency Care Course certificate and/or an Advanced Life Support certificate
• Current Remote Pharmacotherapeutic certificate or working towards
• Current Immunisation Certificate
