  • Base salary up to $138,000 + 12% superannuation
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum
  • Additional Meals & Entertainment packaging up to $2,650 per annum

Your Role

As the Health Centre Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, culturally safe primary healthcare within a remote Aboriginal community.

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the health centre, support and mentor clinical staff, promote clinical excellence and ensure the delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare services that meet community needs.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will drive continuous quality improvement, workforce development and service improvement while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.

This role offers exceptional clinical variety and the opportunity to utilise your advanced assessment, decision-making and leadership skills while supporting your team to manage a broad range of presentations in a remote setting.

The Organisation

You will be joining a highly respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Yolŋu people across East Arnhem Land.

The organisation delivers comprehensive, culturally appropriate primary healthcare services across remote communities, with a strong focus on community-led care, prevention, chronic disease management and improving long-term health outcomes.

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team and work alongside passionate healthcare professionals who are committed to providing high-quality healthcare and strengthening community health outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years' post-registration nursing experience with advanced clinical skills relevant to remote practice
  • Demonstrated ability to triage, work autonomously and manage complex clinical presentations
  • Minimum 12 months' recent experience managing or leading a team
  • Current REC, MEC, ALS and NT iSTAT certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current manual driver's licence
  • Ability and willingness to travel by small charter aircraft and operate a 4WD vehicle
  • Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Australian Working Visa or New Zealand Citizenship)
