With a strong focus on improving health outcomes for Aboriginal communities, the organisation offers a supportive environment where clinicians are valued, encouraged and supported to grow professionally.

Your Role

In this role, you'll provide community-based midwifery care within a primary healthcare clinic, supporting women and families across the full continuum of care.

You'll work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver antenatal and postnatal care, women's health assessments, breastfeeding and lactation support, infant health, cervical screening, contraception and sexual health services, chronic disease management, health promotion, community outreach, and clinical assessment and treatment in line with the CARPA Manual.

This opportunity is ideal for you if you value continuity of care, enjoy building trusted relationships with women, families and communities, and are passionate about holistic, preventative healthcare. You'll thrive in a rural or remote primary healthcare setting where you can use your skills, work independently, and make a meaningful difference as part of a supportive team.

The Location

Experience the best of regional Northern Territory living, with the convenience of a well-connected regional centre.

Enjoy access to essential amenities including supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, schools, childcare, sporting facilities, gyms, an aquatic centre and local healthcare services, while embracing a relaxed lifestyle without the congestion, long commutes or high living costs of a capital city.

Whether relocating alone or with family, you'll find a welcoming community, outdoor lifestyle and plenty of opportunities to connect through local clubs, activities and events. Regular flights to Darwin and major Australian cities make it easy to stay connected.

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
  • Minimum 3 years' postgraduate midwifery experience
