Regis Day Therapy Centres are home to a range of professional allied health services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology and podiatry.
Our fully trained, experienced and professional staff provide high quality therapeutic services to people living in the community, retirement living villages and in low care aged care homes.
About the role
We are now seeking a casual Therapy Assistant to join our team at Regis Day Therapy Centre located in Blackburn VIC.
The Therapy Assistant ensures the delivery of skilled individualised and group care to assist Regis clients to optimise their level of physical and mental well-being and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Follow designed care plans within the scope of practice as prescribed by the Registered Therapist
- Gain a detailed understanding of the client’s preferences & effectively communicate the team all relevant information/issues/ concerns relating to clients’ needs
- Be responsive to needs, concerns and suggestions made by the client and their family, ensuring that these are acted upon in a timely and appropriate manner
- Build highly supportive and positive relationships with the client, their family, referrers and colleagues
- Document treatments and maintain up to date, clear and accurate client plans and records.
To be successful in this role, you have
- Team player with ability to manage and support varied priorities.
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar role
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance ( preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills
Mandatory requirements for all candidates
- Evidence that you have had the Flu vaccine
- Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
- Valid National Police Check/NDIS workers card
- Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications

- Help with errands around the home, including cleaning, washing, ironing and vacuuming.
- Support with personal hygiene and showing, grooming and dressing.
- Assisting with shopping and meal preparation.
- Monitoring medication.

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
