Join Uniting Mental Health & Wellbeing as a Casual Administrative Officer supporting headspace team. In this flexible and rewarding role, you’ll help create a warm, welcoming space for young people and adults accessing mental health support.

We're looking for someone enthusiastic, adaptable, and organised, with strong admin skills and a passion for supporting community wellbeing. Whether you're hoping to gain experience in the mental health or NGO sector or simply seeking a role that offers variety and purpose, this is a great opportunity to be part of a values-driven team making a real difference.

Any level of experience is considered; however, we are looking for applicants who:

Essential Criteria:

  • Are highly organised and able to multi-task.
  • Can remain calm and focused in busy environments.
  • Are comfortable working in the Mental Health space.
  • Have excellent overall computer skills and confident using MS Office applications.
  • Flexible approach, including the ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative, and have a proactive approach to problem resolution.
  • Available to work across multiple locations – Katoomba & Hawkesbury being priority areas

Even Better:

  • Have experience in a similar role such as a Medical/Mental Health/Youth Service Receptionist/Administrator.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing daily administrative on-site support to staff, private practice and consortium members.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and welcoming visitors to site providing high-level customer service support.
  • Monitoring email, voicemail and fax inboxes, actioning as appropriate.
  • Booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments using our Electronic Medical Records System.

About the Program
headspace is part of Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention services to young people aged 12–25. Our multidisciplinary team delivers support across mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs, and work and study.
