Position: Disability Support Worker Location: Mount Barker, SA Employment Type: Casual Pay: SCHADS Award Rate The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an internal Claro team member to join a supportive and inclusive team. We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Mount Barker, SA Each day may look a little different, but your work will be centered around the following:

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get to know them and understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical support: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being What makes this role exciting
  • You'll work with people who have big, real world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities.

  What you'll do

  • Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
