About the role..
This is a Full Time 6‑month contract (until March 2027) and offers the opportunity to deliver specialised, activity‑based therapy to clients with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions. You’ll complete assessments, design tailored exercise programs and work closely with therapy assistants to provide safe, person‑centred sessions across our Neuromoves service.
The role involves occasional travel between sites and community locations, so a full Australian driver’s licence and your own fully insured vehicle are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical Assessment — Conduct functional assessments and develop individualised therapy plans.
- Program Delivery — Implement activity‑based exercise programs that align with client goals and clinical best practice.
- Client Progression — Monitor outcomes, adjust programs and document progress accurately.
- Team Collaboration — Work closely with therapy assistants and fellow clinicians to ensure safe, effective service delivery.
- Safety & Compliance — Maintain high standards of clinical safety, risk management and professional conduct.
- Service Contribution — Support continuous improvement within the Neuromoves program and uphold a client‑centred approach.
About you…
A capable and client focused physiotherapist, you’re confident working with people living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions and bring strong clinical reasoning to every session. Your communication, teamwork and adaptability help you thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
You’re organised, professional and committed to delivering high quality therapy across assessments, program delivery and documentation. You’re ready to contribute meaningfully throughout this 6‑month contract and deliver excellent outcomes for Neuromoves clients.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experienced working with people living with spinal cord injury or neurological conditions and are passionate about delivering meaningful, evidence‑based therapy.
- A commitment to inclusive practice ensuring every participant feels respected, heard and supported.
- Values‑aligned team contributor within a multidisciplinary environment and help foster a positive, supportive workplace culture.
- Clear, confident communication with the ability to build rapport easily, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and contribute to a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
- Regular access to a private vehicle to transport participants for community‑based sessions.
- Availability on weekends
- Confidence with manual handling, including transfers, loading and positioning, with training and support provided.
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
- A driver’s licence and full access to a vehicle
- CPR + first Aid accreditation
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)
- Experience and / or Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme
