As a Remote Area Midwife, you’ll work alongside an Aboriginal Health workforce within the Maternal and Women’s Health Program, providing culturally safe and holistic care to women and families across East Arnhem Land.

- $3,000 Curis sign-up bonus*
- Permanent community-based or FIFO roster 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
- N4 base salary $131,995 - $141,804 + 12% super + on-call allowance
- FREE furnished accommodation, including utilities and Wi-Fi
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum
- Meals & Entertainment up to $2,650 per annum
- Relocation assistance up to $10,400
- 6 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading
- Return flights provided for each FIFO swing
- $10,000 annual retention bonus for eligible community-based RANs
As a Remote Area Midwife, you’ll work alongside an Aboriginal Health workforce within the Maternal and Women’s Health Program, providing culturally safe and holistic care to women and families across East Arnhem Land.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Provide antenatal and postnatal care
- Support women throughout pregnancy and birth planning
- Build meaningful relationships with women, families and community leaders
- Work alongside Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Health Workers, nurses, midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Deliver culturally safe, holistic primary healthcare
- Engage with Yolŋu culture and learn from local knowledge holders
- Participate in the RAN on-call roster
Remote nursing experience is desirable but don't rule yourself out if you're ready to transition into remote practice.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, with no restrictions
- 3 years' post-graduate nursing experience
- Experience in remote or rural nursing and maternal health
- ALS, PALS, REC and MEC certificates desirable
- Current unrestricted manual driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights
