This is a counselling role where relationships are at the heart of the work. You'll work closely with women, families and community, providing culturally safe and trauma-informed support while helping people navigate complex circumstances.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Remote Area Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, Midwives, Child Health Nurses, Mental Health Clinicians and Allied Health professionals. You'll also work closely with Aboriginal Family Wellness Workers and community leaders, giving you the opportunity to learn from community and contribute to a holistic model of care.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Counselling or a related Human Services discipline
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with a recognised professional body
- Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed counselling
- Experience supporting people affected by complex trauma, family violence, mental health or alcohol and other drug issues
- Strong understanding of Social and Emotional Wellbeing frameworks and culturally safe practice
- Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities highly regarded
- Current Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- National Criminal History Check.
- Full Australian working rights.
