Ready to take your youth work career somewhere completely different? You'll work directly with young people and families in a remote Aboriginal community, building trusted relationships and helping young people find positive pathways away from youth justice involvement.

This is a role where being out in the community is central to your work. You'll get to know young people, understand what's happening in their lives and work alongside them and their families to build the confidence, skills and connections they need to move forward.
You'll combine therapeutic support, early intervention and youth development, helping young people stay connected to family, culture, education and community while creating positive alternatives to involvement with the youth justice system.
You will enjoy:
You'll be based in a remote coastal Aboriginal community where culture, Country and community are part of everyday life. Outside work, you'll have fishing, boating, camping and some spectacular Top End landscapes right on your doorstep.
And while you're living remotely, you're not disconnected. Short, regular flights to Darwin give you access to the city's restaurants, cafés, shops and services when you want a change of pace.
With fully subsidised accommodation, a travel allowance and salary packaging, you'll also have the practical support to make the move and settle into community life.

- $2,000 sign up bonus for new Curis Nurses*
- Permanent, full-time community-based position
- Salary package up to $110,000 + superannuation
- Fully subsidised accommodation
- $6,000 annual travel allowance
- Salary packaging up to $15,900
- Meals & Entertainment packaging up to $2,650
- Relocation assistance available
- Retention allowance after every 12 months of continuous service

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, Counselling or a related discipline
- Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities
- Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people
- Experience in case management and/or youth-focused programs
- Understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based and restorative practice
- Experience working with complex family and social situations
- Ability to engage young people and build strong professional relationships
- Ability to work independently in a remote community
- Current Driver Licence
- Full Australian working rights
