Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation to recruit a permanent After-Hours Remote Area Nurse for a stunning coastal community in the Northern Territory.

Two weeks in community, two weeks back home. If you're an experienced RAN who enjoys autonomous practice, after-hours clinical care and the variety of remote nursing, this is an opportunity to experience life in a remote coastal community while enjoying a 2:2 FIFO lifestyle.

  • Permanent FIFO position — 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • Salary up to $142,000 + 12% superannuation
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum

Why You'll Love This Role

Working 9:00pm to 8:00am on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster, you'll provide care when the clinic is closed, assessing presentations, managing emergencies, providing telephone triage and supporting community members with a range of health needs.

You'll work independently while remaining connected to the broader Primary Health Care team, with established clinical and emergency protocols supporting you in your role. Alongside clinical assessments, triage and emergency callouts, you'll maintain clinical readiness, complete documentation and contribute to recalls, audits and ongoing quality improvement.

Location

This is where the FIFO lifestyle gets interesting.

Located in a spectacular coastal community, you'll be surrounded by some of the Northern Territory's most untouched landscapes. During your two weeks on roster, make the most of your surroundings with fishing, boating, camping and exploring the coastline.

Then it's time to head home for another two weeks completely your own. It's a 2:2 lifestyle that gives you the chance to experience remote Australia without giving up your time at home.

Essential Criteria
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • 5 years' post-graduate nursing experience in a remote or primary healthcare setting
  • Experience providing telephone health advice and after-hours emergency response
  • Current BLS and ALS certificates
  • Current Triage and REC (or equivalent) certificates
  • MEC certificate desirable
  • Pharmacotherapeutics certificate
  • Current Nurse Immuniser certificate
  • Current manual driver's licence
