Curis Recruitment is looking for an experienced Community Dietitian to join an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in Darwin.
You'll work across clinical Dietetics, community nutrition, chronic disease, health promotion and remote outreach — giving you plenty of variety in your day-to-day work.
If you're already working in an Aboriginal health service or community health, you'll be able to hit the ground running while building on your experience through regular remote outreach.

No sitting in the same consulting room every day. You'll split your time between clinical Dietetics and community-based work — supporting clients with chronic disease, providing nutrition advice and education, delivering health promotion programs and getting out into remote communities.
You'll work alongside Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Workers and other health professionals, building nutrition programs that make sense for the people and communities you're working with.
There's also regular remote outreach, giving you the chance to take your Dietetics skills and work directly with Aboriginal communities.
You'll be involved in:

Outside work, Darwin is all about the outdoors. Think warm weather, fishing, swimming, camping, waterfalls, four-wheel driving and weekend trips to Litchfield or Kakadu. There's also plenty happening in the city, with markets, restaurants, live music and waterfront spots to enjoy.

Essential Criteria

- A recognised Dietetics qualification
- Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status, or eligibility for APD
- Experience working as a Community Dietitian
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Experience in an ACCHO, Aboriginal health or community health setting highly regarded
- Experience with chronic disease management, nutrition education or health promotion
- An understanding of cultural safety and Aboriginal health
- Willingness to travel to remote communities
- Current driver's licence
- Current Ochre Card, or ability to obtain
- Full Australian working rights
