Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this Aboriginal Medical Service to find an experienced Primary Health Nurse to join their team in Western Australia.

Join a well-established non-government health service providing culturally responsive healthcare and community programs to Aboriginal people throughout the South West. The Role
You will provide high-quality, culturally safe nursing care and help coordinate each client's healthcare journey across both the clinic and community.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based primary healthcare nursing
  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised nursing care
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary care plans
  • Managing internal and external referrals, including specialist and allied health services
  • Supporting clients with ongoing health management and education
  • Working closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs and other healthcare professionals
  • Building strong and respectful relationships with clients, families and the wider community
About You
To be considered, you will have:
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate nursing experience
  • Experience planning, developing, implementing and evaluating nursing care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people
  • An understanding of the health issues and barriers impacting Aboriginal people and communities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work flexibly within a busy primary healthcare environment
