Aged care homes will struggle to meet staff ratios as losses pile up: report

More aged care homes are running at a financial loss as the growing home-care sector poaches workers, putting new minimum staffing standards at risk.

Labor leader Anthony Albanese has pledged to put a registered nurse (RN) in every aged care facility around the clock by next July and Prime Minister Scott Morrison is committed to mandating an RN on-site for 16 hours a day from next October.
